Role Overview

The Presales Engineer plays a critical role in bridging technical expertise and business needs. This role focuses on understanding customer requirements, designing tailored solutions, and supporting the sales team throughout the sales lifecycle. Additionally, the Presales Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of technical data and opportunity stages within the CRM system, ensuring a seamless sales process.

The ideal candidate should have a mix of technical knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client needs, challenges, and goals.
  • Participate in client discovery meetings to gather detailed technical requirements.
  • Present tailored solutions and demonstrate Cybears’ offerings (e.g., CSDS, SOC, MSSP).

2. Solution Design:

  • Develop technical solutions aligned with client requirements and Cybears’ service portfolio.
  • Prepare detailed proposals, architecture diagrams, and implementation plans.
  • Ensure all proposed solutions are scalable, cost-effective, and aligned with Cybears’ standards.

3. Sales Support:

  • Provide technical expertise during negotiations and address client objections.
  • Conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) activities to validate solutions for clients.
  • Assist in the preparation of RFP/RFI responses, ensuring technical accuracy.

4. CRM Role and Updates:

  • Ensure accurate and timely updates in the CRM system related to:
    • Technical feasibility assessments.
    • Solution design and proposal milestones.
    • PoC progress and outcomes.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to ensure opportunity stages reflect the latest status.
  • Log detailed notes on technical discussions, challenges, and next steps within the CRM.
  • Use CRM data to track technical bottlenecks and propose solutions to resolve them.

5. Collaboration and Communication:

  • Act as a liaison between sales, delivery, and technical teams to ensure smooth transitions from presales to implementation.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop technical content for webinars, workshops, and thought leadership initiatives.
  • Share client feedback and technical insights to improve Cybears’ offerings and services.

6. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends in cybersecurity, including technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Participate in training and certification programs to maintain technical expertise.

Key Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in a presales or technical consulting role, preferably in the cybersecurity industry.
  • Proven experience supporting complex sales cycles and delivering technical solutions.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity domains, including SOC, MSSP, Threat Intelligence, and Risk Management.
  • Proficiency in solution design, proposal creation, and technical presentations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for non-technical audiences.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Odoo, Salesforce) to manage opportunities and document processes.
